Samarkand2015 is a regional development company owned by Smedjebacken and Ludvika municipalities, Region Dalarna, Hitachi Energy and Ovako. Many companies and organizations in the region are also members of Samarkand2015. One of Samarkand2015’s mission is to work with immigration services to the owner and member companies.

Move-in service is an important and important position for employers in a recruitment, as well as for families who are moving here. Experience shows that the practical in life is of great importance when it comes to getting to grips with a new place of residence. Samarkand2015 offers service packages to Owner and member companies When recruiting special skills or key persons.

A number of different services can be adapted and packaged based on the employer’s and the employee’s individual wishes and needs, to create greater competitiveness.

For example, an assignment may include:

Help with registering in a housing queue, viewing areas, tips on temporary accommodation
Contacts to schools and childcare
Advice and support in contacts with authorities and banks, help with obtaining social security numbers and bank accounts
Display of community service functions
Language teaching via established channels

This service is often suitable for international immigrants. A lot can be different when you move to a new place but even more when you move to a new country. Through the relocation service, you can meet the special needs that arise during an international move-in.

This is a service that the employer pays for and a specific quote is provided for each assignment.

Support for Accompanying Partners

In many cases, a recruitment results in the entire family moving to the region. When employers in Ludvika/Smedjebacken recruit staff, part of Samarkand2015’s mission is to provide support in helping accompanying partners find employment or other meaningful activities.

The service is based on collaboration through a network of Samarkand2015’s owner and member companies. These companies represent a large part of the region’s business community.

Accompanying partners are offered, among other things:

Personal consultations focusing on the accompanying partner’s skills, experience, and employment opportunities
Contacts with Samarkand2015’s owner and member companies
Assistance with contacting and distributing CVs/cover letters to companies, organizations, recruitment agencies, and staffing agencies
Advice on starting your own business and guidance on educational opportunities through established channels
Invitations to networking events and projects that may be relevant to the accompanying partner

Language Courses

Language training through established channels
Chat groups where we practice Swedish together

Everyday Life / Social Connections

Accompanying partners can also receive personal information and practical support on matters that are important for life outside of work. Examples of activities include:

Information about public services and community resources
Workshops and seminars on topics such as intercultural communication and Swedish culture
Information sessions about local associations and community activities, childcare, schools, healthcare, and other services
Fika & Chat – friendly Monday gatherings where accompanying partners can make connections and build friendships that can last a lifetime.

International Ludvika

Samarkand works internationally in many ways. On the one hand, we collaborate with actors in other countries in various projects and on the other hand we help move-in to Ludvika as their partners have been recruited by companies. The latter we do at work “Career Coaching”.
