It was just the year started! Read Lars summary of 2025

Time to summarize 2025? It was just the year started!
It’s like that when there’s a lot going on all the time.

Ludvika with Hitachi at the head has continued fantastic expansion, which benefits our entire region.
There is something very special about living and working in a region where the future is literally built every day.

Of course, there are challenges in such an expansive phase and the majority of our “basic work areas” within Samarkand are affected to the highest degree.
Fun but also challenging.

As I said, the year has been & intensive, thanks in large part to the strong and positive development that is taking place in our region. The expansion means fast pace, increased demands and new needs, which is sometimes challenging, but at the same time extremely stimulating. Being part of this journey, in the middle of growth and the change, is very fun – and it gives energy to the continued work.

We had an economically tough start to the year to keep the internal economy on the right side of the zero mark. Through our owners’ support and membership fees, we have to carry the business so that we do not fall into the “trap” that we should look for projects that in the end are really about finding funding for our own business. It can be tough but necessary!

An eventful year again, where we can probably all feel proud of what we have achieved! When the energy and the positive tones are there, the work effort is also something that brings joy and commitment, rather than weight.

Our students come to the University Center, many from other places to write exams, many who choose us as their daily study place. There, teacher, medical and electrical power students mix in a positive atmosphere that I believe enriches everyone. We feel that it is very much appreciated and important.

We have a wide range in our work, from strategic development projects in areas such as cybersecurity in the electricity networks and power needs in the county to very everyday operational needs that must be solved. I went to IVA during the day (Kingl Engineering Academy) where, among other things, we talked about this very thing, to move in the field of strategy and operational measures. To not get completely stuck in one field, to only talk about long-termism but also not to just rush around in matters close to the day. It is important to keep together so that the strategic and operational are connected and not slipped apart.

The dissemination of knowledge is also important and in several of the projects we participate in, this is precisely a leading task for us. To spread knowledge, create participation but also to assist researchers and experts to express themselves as you understand, that is a role we take in several of the projects. If no one understands what you say, no knowledge is spread.
It’s the same thing… with Dalmål and quick talk. You can adapt..

The end of 2025, I don’t understand, but the overall feeling of the year is still, as I said, positive despite a lot of misery in the world, but we have to try to work with and influence what we can to the best of my ability. We intend to continue with that!

I want to end by wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, filled with success, joy and exciting challenges!
